Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation is a publicly-supported 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is affiliated with Cancer Recovery Foundation International group of charities which helps people prevent and survive cancer.
The Foundation assists children under the age of 18 and their families who are facing the hardships of a cancer diagnosis. A national footprint allows the Foundation to make a difference in communities, both large and small, providing a helping hand wherever needed. Three core programs, Bear-Able Gifts, Helping Hands Fund and Camp Scholarships, focus on improving the social, mental and emotional well-being of families while helping to minimize the devastation that cancer can cause.
The Bear-Able Gift Program is the largest distributor of gifts to children with cancer in the world, delivering toys, games, puzzles, crafts, books, hand-held video games. The Helping Hands Fund provides emergency funding assistance to families with rent and utility payments, ensuring that each child has a warm, safe place to recover from their battle with cancer. Through the Camp Scholarship Program, children have the opportunity to join other cancer survivors at special interest camps and be “one of the gang” again.
